Heritage Malta is planning to organise a retrospective exhibition on the important Maltese artist Giorgio Preca (1909-1984). This exhibition, which will be the first ever retrospective exhibition for this artist, is also being put on to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of his birth.

The exhibition will include Preca’s portraits, landscapes, still-lifes and other characteristic works from his 50-year alternating career between Malta and Italy.

Owners of such works of art by Preca, who might wish them to be considered for inclusion are requested to contact Heritage Malta’s curator for Modern and Contemporary Art Mr Dennis Vella on dennis.vella@gov.mt or Heritage Malta’s Senior Curator for Arts and Palaces Mr Sandro Debono on alexander.debono@gov.mt.
