To mark the occasion of Council Day, the Nadur Local Council presented the Franciscan Sisters with the Gieh-in-Nadur Award for 2020.
Mayor Edward Said remarked that “it has really been a pleasure and an honour for us, as Nadur Local Council, to present this Award to the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Nadur.”
“A special moment, with one of the most wonderful evenings we have ever organised, and very well deserved honour,” he added.
Mayor Said highlighted their “100 years of history, tireless work in silence and great humility. 100 years of teaching, prayer, catechesis, sacrifice and service to the parish and community in Nadur.”
The Nadur Local Council warmly welcomed the 23rd choice for this Award.
