A 72-year old man has died while being positive with Covid-19, the Health Ministry said. This makes the number of lives lost to the virus now at 227.
The man tested positive for the virus on the 31st of December and passed away yesterday at Mater Dei Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the relatives of the deceased, called on the public to continue to follow the preventive measures “so that we can protect the most vulnerable in our society” – This includes wearing of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene.
