The Gozo Ministry is currently in the final preparations to start rebuilding the main road from Victoria to Marsalforn, said Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri.

Writing on Facebook, Minister Camilleri noted however that Triq Santa Marija, near Qbajjar, “had long been forgotten, and no infrastructural intervention carried out for years, with the consequence that it was allowed to deteriorate and is now in a poor state of repair.”

The Minister added that he had now instructed that the road be given a new surface so that residents and all those who visit Marsalforn and the surrounding area will have a better road.

“This Government is committed to continuing to give life to the tourist area of Marsalforn, as it has done in the Menqa Regeneration Project, work is well underway along the Marsalforn front and the rebuilding of the road from Xaghra to Marsalforn will soon begin,” said the Gozo Minister.
