February is traditionally the month when love and romance is in the air, however, it would also be good to find it in your heart to give blood during this month and help those who need it most.

Throughout February there will be the opportunity to donate blood at sessions that will be taking place in Gozo.

They can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club on any of the four dates shown below:

Tuesdays – last registration 5:00pm

9th February from 1:00pm-5:00pm

23rd February from 1:00pm-5:00pm

Sunday – last registration 1:00pm

14th February from 8:00am to 1:00pm

28th February from 8:00am to 1:00pm

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.

Anyone currently waiting to take a Covid-19 test, or who has had the test and is waiting for the result, cannot give blood.

The Service stressed that due to the Covid-19 situation all necessary measures are being taken to protect anyone who comes to donate blood, as well as the professionals who provide them with a service.
