The Planning Commission, on the 10th of December 2019, refused an application which was recommended for approval, for a building on an ODZ untouched, pristine area outside Qala and which was even visible from Comino.Hondoq ODZ application for "tool shed" comes before Tribunal on ThursdayA building for a small “tool shed” with a skylight and a parapet was proposed on what is actually the site of a pile of stones.

The application was turned down following applications by Qala Mayor Paul Buttigieg, through lawyer Dr Claire Bonello.Hondoq ODZ application for "tool shed" comes before Tribunal on ThursdayThe Qala Local Council has said that this case went to the Tribunal and next Thursday, the 18th of March at 1.30pm a decision will be given to appeal number 17/20 for this application.

The Qala Council said that it “remains resolute in warding off threats to the natural environment and the community. We hope common sense prevails.”

      Is there ONE – who can ask The Planning Commission, what ODZ means please .
      I think this Country needs another change in Politics and Authorities !!!
      If the people are NOT beable to do this , then i see no future for all Islands of Gozo .
      i am wrong ???
