MTV Mobile powered by GO have announced that they are pledging their full support to the GreenPak Earth Garden & Echo Fest at Ta’ Qali National Park on the 23rd and 24th ofMay. MTV Mobile has teamed up with the organisers of Earth Garden and is supporting the MTV Mobile Open Village during the event offering entertainment for the whole family. MTV Mobile will be launching an attractive offer for all registered MTV Mobile subscribers who are encouraged to top up on line and get the chance to win exclusive tickets to watch the Tribali concert at the GreenPak Earth Garden for free.

For this year’s edition of the GreenPak Earth Garden and Echo Fest, the organisers have come up with new ideas to further enhance the festival’s environmental roots. GreenPak, as main sponsor of the event will handle waste management and recycling of all packaging during the two-day event. GO is also lending its support in this respect. As was the case last year when GO encouraged the public to bring in used top-up cards to the GO stand at Earth Garden, GO will once again be raising awareness about the need to properly dispose of waste urging visitors to bring in their old mobile phones as well as used top-up cards.

MTV Mobile powered by GO is proud to associate itself with this event which brings together culture, environment, and the wider society in general. Meanwhile MTV Mobile has joined forces with GO and the organisers of Earth Garden to promote the environmental cause locally via a number of eco-friendly initiatives.

Thanks to a special offer launched by MTV Mobile, MTV subscribers are eligible to win 2 tickets (worth €15 each) to the Tribali Concert at the GreenPak Earth Garden and Echo Fest if they top up online (via my MTV) with €10 or more during the offer period. There will be a total number of 150 winners throughout the competition that runs to the 15th May. The lucky winners will be selected randomly from all the participants to the offer after correctly answering a skill-based question and notified by SMS to collect their tickets from the MTV Mobile outlet at the Embassy Complex in Valletta.

The MTV Mobile Open Village will enable families who drop by to share the unique experience of being in a paradise of colours and smells as the National Park in Ta’ Qali is transformed into an eco-haven for the festival. Visitors will be spoilt for choice with a huge range of enticing initiatives comprising visual and performing arts, painting, sculpture, photographic works, street drama performance – and much, much more as varied initiatives merge to create a colourful and dynamic visual extravaganza.

At the MTV Mobile Open village, on a free entrance basis, there will be something for all members of the family. In the area known as Echo-Fest members of the public will be given first-hand environment awareness tips. Energetic unplugged acoustic sessions will provide entertainment, while the aromas of varied culinary delights inside the village food court will prove irresistible. An area known as Festive Groove will house an ethnic market capturing the excitement and fascination of being in an ethnic market. Parents with their young children can make their way to the children’s tent set up specifically to offer fun for kids with drama workshops and environmental education for the very young.
