Last week, British High Commissioner Cathy Ward was welcomed by the Malta Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa and Assistant Commissioner Dr Alexandra Mamo during a visit to the Financial Crimes Investigation Department (FCID).

The High Commissioner was briefed by front line police officers about the work of the FCID in combating money laundering and terrorist finance.

Discussions between representatives of UK in Malta – British High Commission Valletta and the FCID focused on law enforcement cooperation and the common experiences of the UK and Malta in disrupting and dismantling transnational organised crime.
