Hundreds of booster doses have today started to be administered to residents of homes for the elderly.

Minister for Health Chris Fearne along with the Minister for the Elderly and Active Ageing Michael Farrugia visited a nursing home in Floriana on Monday morning, where booster jabs were being given.

Minister for the Elderly Michael Farrugia said that around 500 vaccinations will be given daily to those elderly people who live in Nursing Homes, as well as to those who are residents of San Vincenz de Paul. .

This process is being carried out jointly by the Health Authorities and the Social Care Standards Authority.
