Two women were seriously injured and a man was slightly injured in a collision involving three vehicles in Mgarr Road, Victoria.

Police said that the crash happened at around 8.30am this morning and involved a 69-year old man from Munxar who was driving a Leyland, a 52-year old man from Gharb who was driving a Toyota Belta and a Toyota Vitz driven by a 61-year old woman from Sannat, who was accompanied by an 81-year old woman.

A medical team assisted the injured at the scene before they were transferred to the Gozo General Hospital.

One man was later certified to have sustained slight injuries, the 61-year-old woman was certified with grievous injuries and the older woman was certified with serious injuries.

Duty Magistrate Dr Simone Grech is leading an inquiry.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
