Kaccaturi San Ubertu (KSU) has condemned Saturday morning’s incident when five Flamingos were “allegedly shot at” near Qawra point, with four found dead.

The hunters’ organisation in a statement said that, “this person had been one of its members for a year but he was expelled following a similar incident a few months ago.”

“We condemn similar acts which only harm hunters who in their absolute majority are all law abiding.” KSU said.

KSU warned that “any person that blatantly disregards the law will be expelled from the organisation in line with its principles and will not be able to renew the hunting licence.”

Kaccaturi San Ubertu stated that it “practices the principle of zero tolerance towards similar abuse and warns that, notwithstanding such criminal acts are few, they are not acceptable.”

KSU concluded by saying that it ” expects that such offences are to be punishable according to the maximum allowed by law.”
