Gozitan Stefan Bugeja is of of the 1%. He has been selected as a 2022 Global Ray Kroc Award winner and joins just 380 McDonald’s restaurant managers from across 39,000 restaurants globally to be recognised for their outstanding customer service, leadership and brilliant business results.

Apart from Stefan of McDonald’s Gozo, other Euro winners are Anneli Sahk, Restaurant Manager at Tartu in Estonia, Viktors Glazkovs (Daugava, Latvia), Violeta Bakanauskaite (Neris, Lithuania) and Monica Marisoiu (Ploeisti Nord, Romania).

Anneli, Viktors, Violeta, Monica and Stefan will receive their awards in Florida next April.

The award is named after the enterprising, McDonald’s Corporation Founder, Ray Kroc, who catalysed the McDonald’s operations.

In 1955, he founded McDonald’s System, Inc., a predecessor of the McDonald’s Corporation, and six years later bought the exclusive rights to the McDonald’s name and operating system. By 1958, McDonald’s had sold its 100 millionth hamburger.
