An 86-year old man has passed away during the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities said today.

There were 153 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 76 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo up to 1,078.

There are 44 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital including 4 who are in ITU (figures for Gozo General Hospital have not been updated).

There have been 613 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 345,695.
