Give blood this Sunday in Gozo, a chance to help others in need

The National Blood Transfusion Service has expressed its sincere gratitude to the 47 people who called to donate blood on Tuesday (a record number for a Tuesday) at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
The Service has said that the next session is on Sunday, the 10th of April, from 8am to 1pm (last registration 1pm) this will be followed by another on Tuesday, the 19th of April, from 1pm to 5pm. “As always, your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated.”
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
Swab testers, whether routine or travelling, are asked to wait until a Covid negative result is issued.
Those who tested positive for Covid will be able to donate blood two weeks after the end of quarantine.
Those who were in quarantine and were not positive for Covid will be able to donate blood as soon as the isolation period ends.
