Good Friday Statuettes on display at Il-Hagar for Easter

Traditional Good Friday Statuettes in imitation of those carried in the Passion processions are on currently on display at Il-Hagar Museum in Victoria.
They are the work of prominent artists George Buttigieg (Lija) and Alfred Camilleri (Iklin).
Other highlights on display at the museum include Papal items (such as the last cassock worn by Pope Francis as a cardinal) and – Architect as Artist – a huge retrospective by Professor Richard England.
The permanent collection of course offers “Lenten” exhibits too.
There is no entrance fee at this cultural centre, open 9am to 5pm seven days a week. Il-Hagar is located in St George’s Square, Victoria, Gozo.
