Blood donors needed, next session in Gozo on Tuesday

The National Blood Transfusion Service gives thanks to the 31 people who called to donate blood last Sunday at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
Meanwhile the Service continues to encourage healthy people to please come forward and donate blood for the benefit of the sick and whose lives depend on it.
The Service has said that the next session is on Tuesday, the 31st of May, from 1pm to 5pm (last registration 5pm) this will be followed by another on Sunday, the 5th of June from 8am to 1pm.
“As always, your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated.”
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service “to avoid wasting time”
Swab testers, whether routine or for travelling, are asked to wait until a Covid negative result is issued.
Those who tested positive for Covid will be able to donate blood two weeks after the end of quarantine.
