How to reduce your chances of catching or spreading the swine flu virusThe number of confirmed cases of the A H1N1 flu virus has risen substantially today, with eight new cases reported in Gozo, three more in Gharb, two in Ghasri, one in Sannat and two in Xaghra taking the total number of cases in Gozo up to fourteen.

The two other new cases reported are from Malta, taking the total there up to twenty-five.

Overall the total of confirmed cases across the Maltese Islands now stands at thirty-nine.

Because of the number of cases appearing in Gozo, the Health Department said that the situation in Gharb and other Gozitan villages is being closely monitored through enhanced surveillance.
