A 50-year old man was grievously injured after he fell the height of one storey when he was working at a private residence in Ghajnsielem.

Police said that the accident happened at about 5pm in Triq iz-Zewwieqa. The injured man, who is from Kercem, had fallen off a plank.

He was taken to the Gozo General Hospital where he was certified to have suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
