A 52-year old motorcyclist has been grievously injured in a traffic accident this morning in Ghasri.

Police said that the accident happened at around 11.15am in Wied il-Ghasri, when the man, who was riding a Yamaha motorbike, collided with a Fiat Punto being driven by a 63-year old man from Gharb.

The motorcyclist, who is from Ghasri, was assisted at the scene by a medical team before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
