On Sunday morning, the Immigration Police, assisted by members of the Detention Services carried out inspections in Sannat and Marsalforn, Gozo, during which several persons of different nationalities were checked.
Police said that during these searches 24 persons were arrested after being found living in Malta illegally.
They were taken to the Floriana General Headquarters where the deportation process will start.
Police investigations are ongoing.
If Malta can deport illegal immigrants why can’t the UK deport its 60,000 dinghy invaders? The British taxpayers are being treated as mugs by the UK government.
