The Xewkija Park & Ride is expected to be in operation from the first quarter of 2024, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, has said.
The Minister was replying to a Parliamentary Question by Opposition MP Chris Said, who had asked the Minister when it was expected to open, the costings for the entire Park & Ride project and how much would be covered through European Funds.
Dr Said also asked what size the project area would cover including the recreational area.
In his reply on costing, Minister Camilleri said that it is expected to amount to “slightly above €7.0 million, of which €4.7 million are from European funds.”
The Minister did not provide details of the project area, however when it was announced last month Minister Camilleri quoted a total of 24,000 square metres of which 12,000 square metres would be dedicated to 300 parking spaces.
My Question :
For what reason is this deep Hole in the middle for a Carpark, please ?
