BirdLife Malta is putting a call out for volunteers in Gozo and Malta to assist with its annual Spring Watch operations. This year’s camp will be between mid-April and the beginning of May.

BirdLife said that in spring, birds migrate to their breeding grounds in northern Europe. “Along the way, they face many obstacles, one of which is hunting.”“We monitor the hunting situation and report wildlife crime that we see; to cover the island, we need motivated volunteers who want to help us keep the skies safe so birds can continue their journey unharmed,” it said.
