The second part of – Museum Connections: A Creative Journey Across Generations – the new initiative by Il-Hagar¦Heart of Gozo Museum, in collaboration with the Ministry for Active Ageing, Active Ageing and Community Care (AACC), Heritage Malta, and Sir M. A. Refalo Sixth Form.
The first part took place on the 5th of May, with a public talk and the aim of this initiative is to foster intergenerational connections by bringing together members of the elderly community and art students to explore the world of art and create their own interpretations of works displayed at the museum.
This second event will take place on Thursday, the 18th of May, at 9am at Il-Hagar, when elderly and students will meet to discuss the similarities between the actual works on display and the art creations, with the support of art lecturer Mario Cassar.
On conclusion, participants will be taken on a guided tour of Ggantija.
This experiment – to be addressed by Active Ageing Minister Jo Etienne Abela – is being offered without any fee, inclusive of transport. However booking a seat is recommended, through events@heartofgozo.org.mt or by phoning the museum front desk on 21557504.
