This year’s Work Trial Scheme For Youths has been launched with the aim of giving young people the opportunity to experience the world of work with private entities or voluntary organisations.
The scheme which runs through August, is also aimed at helping young people between the ages of 16 and 20 in choosing their career and gain experience for the future.
Launched by Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri, he said that “students can work with both the private sector and voluntary associations, thus increasing the values of both work and respect and solidarity.”
He explained that through this scheme, students will have an income of €100 per week, with a total of €500 over five weeks.
” The scheme, which was introduced five years ago, has always continued to be improved as the Ministry listened to both the young people who participated and to those entities that engaged them,” added the Minister.
The scheme will run for five weeks between Monday, the 7th of August and Thursday, the 7th of September.
Applications open on Monday, the 3rd of July and close at noon on Friday, the 7th of July.
Applications and other information will be available online by clicking here or from the mobile app ‘mygozo.’
