Registered full-time employment increased 8.2% in April

The latest data released by the National Statistics Office today show that registered full-time employment totalled 268,524 in April, this was an increase of 8.2% over April last year.
Part-time as a primary job amounted to 33,373, an increase of 3.8% when compared to the same period in 2022.
The NSO noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 10.4% over a period of one year reaching 217,505.
Public sector full-time employment decreased by 0.2% since April 2022 totalling 51,019, the NSO said.
Full-time employment for males went up by 8.6% amounting to 163,056, while females increased by 7.5% reaching 105,468 over 2022 levels.
