Mario Cauchi dominated the opening round of the Gozo Motocross Championship on Sunday, organised by the Gozo Motocross Association.

Races took place at Ta Xhajma Motocross Track and in Class A, Mario Cauchi was followed by Steve Xuereb. While in class B Matthew Buttigieg, 2023 Class C Champion, came in first, followed by newcomer Roderick Cauchi.

Meanwhile, Class C was won by another new comer Chris Farrugia. Jake Vella was placed second and Scott Donovan came in third.

The Junior class was won by Trystn Theuma. He was followed by Matthias Sultana and in third place came Diego Panza.

The winners were awarded trophies sponsored by ClimaServ and presented by GMA’s treasurer, James Camilleri.

Round 2 of this championship will take place on Sunday, the 19th of November, racing starts at 1pm.
