A Special Cancellation Handstamp, to commemorate the inaugural flight of KM Malta Airlines, will be used on Sunday, the 31st of March, at the Malta International Airport.

MaltaPost said that its airport branch will be open between 6am and 8am, to process mail cancellation impressions of this new handstamp. No other postal services will be offered from this post office on the day.

A limited number of “Inaugural Flight Commemorative Covers,” signed by the flight captain and by the executive chairman of KM Malta Airlines, will be available for sale as from the 1st of April.

Subject to availability, orders for the Cancellation Handstamp and the Inaugural Flight Commemorative Cover will be accepted by the MaltaPost Philatelic Bureau at 305, Triq ?al Qormi, Marsa, MTP 1001, online at www.maltaphilately.com , via e-mail – info@maltaphilately.com or by phone on 2596 1740.
