Due to the current bad weather conditions with high winds, the Gozo Channel company said that its ferry services are operating via the Comino route, with some delays expected for trips.

The forecast is for winds to reach up to force 7 today – Saturday.

The Met Office has issued an orange – be prepared warning that the West Northwest wind will be strong over the Maltese Islands and very strong over the exposed areas, and will later veer to Northwest.

This warning is valid till ten o’clock tonight (19/2200).

In the same warning the Met Office said that the Northwest wind will reach Gale force at times over the exposed areas of the Maltese Islands. This warning is valid till eight o’clock tonight (19/2000).
