”Two Arnold Cassola electoral campaign banners in Mgarr, Gozo and in Xewkija have been stolen and removed during the past day,” the MEP candidate said. A report has been made with the police in Victoria.

The banners had been in place since last Sunday, the 28th of April, one on the main road roundabout between Mgarr and Xewkija and the second one on the last corner turn down to the harbour.

Cassola, who is running as an Independent MEP candidate, advised the Police that they were still in place until last Friday, the 3rd of May, and that he hoped CCTV covered ”at least the second banner.”

In a statement on Sunday Arnold Cassola said, ”even though for the next month, till the 8th of June, people in Gozo will not be able to see my face, with or without my banners, life will go on as normal.”

”Apart from revealing that certain cowards still exist in our country, this episode fills me with great courage,” stated Cassola.

He went on to say that, ”there are those who are in strong fear that, on the 8th of June, the fifty-eight year PNPL duopoly is going to implode and a third Maltese voice is going to enter the European Parliament for the first time.”

”With or without banners, show courage and let us be protagonists in making history on the 8th of June,” Arnold Cassola urged the electorate.
