First local ReMED Project Committee Meeting held in Gozo

The University of Malta and the Ministry for Gozo and Planning recently hosted a successful first local ReMED Project Committee Meeting in Gozo.
The University’s Faculty for the Built Environment is Project ReMED’s Lead Partner, and EcoGozo is a project partner.
The UM said that the potential development of affordable tools and overarching supporting frameworks were discussed during the committee meeting.
ReMED: Towards Climate Resilient Mediterranean Cities, in an INTERREG EURO MED Project, with the objective of promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, while taking into account eco-system based approaches.
The composition of the ReMED project consortium includes 9 partners from 5 countries, made up of public authorities (the main target group), and scientific and technical organisations. The partnership includes 4 cities (Genoa, Malaga, Crikvenica and Fyli) and 1 Ministry (EcoGozo
The project capitalises on the results of previous projects including the CESBA MED Project: Sustainable MED Cities, (Common European Sustainable Building Assessment Method).
