A 31-year old French woman was arraigned before Magistrate Simone Grech in the Gozo Court on Thursday charged with the possession and trafficking of drugs.

Police found a number of sachets filled with suspected cocaine, cash and other drug paraphernalia in her possession during a raid on her apartment in Rabat Road, Zebbug, at around 6.45pm on Wednesday.

Authorities said that the drugs were found in circumstances that show they were not for her exclusive use.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded in custody.
