13 members of the Gozo Motocross Association will visit Sicily between the 1st and 4th of November to participate in a traing camp together with similar Italian associations.
During a visit by Minister Clint Camilleri made to the GMA Motorcycle track, he said that such collaborations are important, not only for the riders themselves, who will be training in a more professional environment, but also from an organisational and tourist point of view.
He added that through these types of visits, apart from continuing to strengthen the relationship with other Associations, the possibility also increases for further collaboration and exchanges in the future.
The Minister for Gozo and Planning praised the initiative by the GTA, saying, “these riders, whose age varies from 5 to 35 years, have the potential to continue to tour in this particular discipline, and therefore the Ministry for Gozo and Planning has accepted the Association’s request to assist with some of the costs related to this training camp.”
The Gozitan members of the GTA will visit and train on five motorcycle tracks that offer challenges and diverse environments, in a larger space together with other athletes. ?
The Gozo Motocross Association also benefited from a grant of a tractor, which after being restored, will be used on the motorcycle track for the benefit of the riders.
