The process is “still ongoing” regarding the Preliminary Market Consultation issued by the Courts Agency for proposals and information on property, both land and buildings, in Victoria, or vicinity, to be converted into a modern court for Gozo, Justice Minister Jonathan Attard said.
He went on to say that “the Ministry will be giving more details at the right moment.” The consultation opened almost two years ago in November 2022 and closed in January last year.
The Minister was replying to a Parliamentary Question tabled by Opposition MP Chris Said, asking for the latest developments on the consultation, how many submissions had been made and by whom and of course, where the new location of the Gozo Court will be and an opening date.

There is no better site than ‘The Innovation Hub, Unit 205, Triq il-Pitkalija Xewkija’ All one has to do is extend the geographical line of boundaries between Rabat and Xewkija, that the Innovation Hub will fall in Rabat and problem solved. The requisite that the Court must be in Victoria will be solved by a drawing of a new boundary line. The building is impressive and still can accommodate the courts..
