The European Youth Card campaign has been launched with the aim of strengthening opportunities for young people.
As part of the initiative, young people in Malta will be able to benefit from more than 22,000 discounts in 42 countries, covering various aspects of life such as education, health, travel, and entertainment.
The launch was announced by Parliamentary Secretary Keith Azzopardi Tanti together with Agenzija Zg?azagh and the European Youth Card Association.
The European Youth Card, apart from offering various discounts to young people, is a tool that ensures new opportunities for young people and communicates solidarity among young people across Europe.
Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Keith Azzopardi Tanti said that, “this is not just a benefits scheme but a means by which we ensure that every young person has the means to dream more, achieve more, and contribute to society.”
It was explained that with over 10,000 European Youth Card holders in Malta and over 7 million across Europe, this initiative demonstrates the power of collectivity and collaboration between governments, entities, associations and organisations.
The Parliamentary Secretary encouraged all young people to take the opportunity offered by this initiative. “This is a tool for you to explore, grow, and succeed. Your energy and creativity are essential to building a better Europe and a stronger future.”
