More than 130 organisations across Malta and Gozo have benefited from an investment of over €370,000 to strengthen their work with young people and create new initiatives that bring about substantial change in the community.

This was announced during a ceremony organised by Agenzija Zagha where Parliamentary Secretary Keith Azzopardi Tanti addressed the participants and praised the essential contribution of voluntary organisations.

The Grand Award Ceremony for the BOOST and Musical Tuition Funds for Young People in Band Clubs was held in the presence of Parliamentary Secretary Keith Azzopardi Tanti, the CEO of Agenzija Zagha Miriam Teuma, and the President of the National Band Clubs Association, Dr Noel Camilleri.

The ceremony announced the beneficiaries of two major funding schemes: BOOST, which allocated over €290,000 to 101 youth organisations, and Musical Tuition for Young People in Band Clubs, through which over €80,000 was distributed to 33 band clubs across Malta and Gozo.

Among the organisations that will benefit from the funding are those that are developing initiatives with the potential to transform the lives of young people in their communities – initiatives that enhance democratic participation, encourage active citizenship and strengthen cultural and social awareness.
