Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta and the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will aid farmers in Gozo.

Thanks to this agreement, services will continue to be strengthened so that access to European Union funding in the agricultural sector is facilitated.

Through AgriConnect in Gozo, the SEM will be able to maintain direct contact with Gozitan farmers and inform them of funding calls related to agriculture.

Gozitan farmers do not have to collect the necessary documents for applying for EU funded schemes, as they will be accessed by SEM directly.

The MoU was signed at the AgriConnect offices in Victoria, Gozo, by SEM CEO Rodrick Zerafa and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, Sharlo Camilleri.

Present at the signing was Agriculture Minister Anton Refalo, who said, “I look forward to continuing to support Gozitan farmers and villagers in the future.”
