The Electoral, Records and Data Commission of the Nationalist Party said that it has “taken note of the letter it received from Adrian Delia’s campaign.”

The Commission went on to say that it has “examined the allegations made and, following its investigation, declares that the outcome of the election for the Leader of the Nationalist Party is correct.”

“The lists used in the election for PN Leader were agreed upon by both sides,” said the Commission, “and the allegations raised in the letter received by the Electoral Commission from Adrian Delia’s campaign had already been addressed during a meeting held on Saturday evening.”

The team, in the letter, had alleged among other issues, that a number of voters who had cast their vote should not have been eligible.

The Commission concluded by saying that “both candidates and/or their representatives had agreed to the lists used in this election for the Leader of the Nationalist Party, and that the allegations raised in the letter had already been addressed in a meeting held by the Commission with the candidates and their representatives on Saturday evening.”
