The Arka Foundation of Gozo recently organised a 30-hour and a 10-hour course on autism. The first course was for professionals and the second for parents, catechists and other persons interested in the subject.

The Foundation said that both courses were delivered by Mr Tony Osgood, a British psychologist with many years of experience both as a lecturer at the University of Kent and as a consultant in various facilities across the United Kingdom, Norway, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Singapore.

The experience offered the opportunity for discussion between Gozitan professionals from the health and education sectors.

The Arka Foundation said that “it also served to create greater awareness among all catechists of the Diocese of Gozo and parents of children with autism on this subject.”
