Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri together with the Mayor of Nadur Edward Said visited and inaugurated the regeneration project carried out at the Tal-Hali playground, also known as tar-Ramla, Nadur.

The Minister stated that “this investment, which was made among others through funds from the Development Planning Fund of the Planning Authority, continues to enhance the quality of life in Gozitan communities, while providing safe and modern spaces where children can play and develop.”

He added that these projects demonstrate a continuous commitment towards a better and sustainable infrastructure for all families.

It was explained that this playing field, which opened in the year 2000, has benefited over the years from various investments in its equipment and facilities. Now, the Local Council has acquired funds to replace the multiplay structure with one of the largest on the island, a modern and high-quality structure, suitable for children of all ages. In addition, a new and safer base has also been installed, with a deeper cushion according to standards, made of coloured rubber that complements and adds to the aesthetics of the structure.

Mayor of Nadur Edward Said said that the Council believes that recreational places for children should be of the best level and therefore the Council has raised funds with the aim of enhancing and improving this playground.

This project was carried out with an investment from the Local Council, with co-financing from a scheme of the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local Government, as well as funds from the Development Planning Fund (DPF) of the Planning Authority.
