Malta Public Transport has advised that all designated beach routes have resumed their summer extensions, improving direct access to Malta and Gozo’s key coastal destinations and supporting increased passenger demand to seaside locations throughout the summer period.

These include extended bus connections to Ramla Bay in Gozo. In addition, Gozo has commenced its summer schedule in line with rising seasonal demand.

MPT said that these improvements ”are aimed at increasing capacity, reliability and network coverage across Malta and Gozo.”

They include an additional trip on Route 150 to better serve MCAST, increased weekend frequency on Route 300 to offer more frequent connections to Mater Dei, and an extension of Route 64 in Qormi to address the increasing demand of the residential areas.

In Gozo, Route 302 and Route 303 will be extended to serve Ta’ Xhajma and Nadur, while Route 305 benefits from an additional morning trip and an extension in Sannat. Route 306 has an extra morning service and will be converted from a circular route into a two-directional service with an updated path to improve operational efficiency and passenger convenience. Further improvements include an additional trip on Route 313 and increased frequency on Route 330.
