A delegation from the village of Nadur in Gozo, recently represented Malta at the European Charter Annual Meeting in Strzyzow, Poland, during the Annual Meeting of the Charter of European Rural Communities.
The event brought together delegations from rural communities across Europe under the Charter’s motto, “People Meet People,” fostering friendships, cooperation and the exchange of ideas between member communities.
Throughout the meeting, the Nadur delegation participated in discussions, cultural exchanges, workshops and community activities, while proudly showcasing Malta’s rich heritage, traditions and the unique identity of their locality.
The programme provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing friendships, establish new partnerships and discuss the common opportunities and challenges faced by rural communities across Europe.
The Nadur Local Council extended its sincere thanks to the Municipality of Strzyzow, the host families, organisers and volunteers for their exceptional hospitality and the excellent organisation of this memorable event.
