The Arthall Gallery Gozo is inviting the public to the opening of its next exhibition, the Malta Contemporary Art Prize, on Wednesday, the 16th of September, starting at 7.30pm and will run until the 20th of September.

This exhibition is a collaboration between Arthall Gozo and Arteaporte, a contemporary art curation platform and cultural project based in Turin, Italy, that connects emerging international artists with collectors, galleries, and institutions through collective exhibitions, international open calls, and editorial projects.

The gallery said that Arteaporte opens a new frontier of contemporary art and lands in Gozo, for the second time, with an international exhibition realised in collaboration with Arthall Gallery.

The exclusive Con/Temporary Spaces Arthall will host the collective exhibition, which is an exhibition project dedicated to the most current contemporary artistic practices in dialogue with the unique atmosphere of the Maltese island.

The exhibition was created with the aim of bringing together international artists, contemporary languages and one of the most evocative places in the Mediterranean, transforming Gozo into a space for exchange, experimentation and cultural connection.

Painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, installation and hybrid techniques will coexist within an exhibition that celebrates the plurality of contemporary artistic practices and freedom of expression.

The gallery explained that Malta Contemporary Art Prize aims to be an open reflection on the role of art today: a space where different sensibilities can meet, interact and build new visual narratives within an international and dynamic context.
