Arka Foundation director Mgr Manwel Curmi’s 50th anniversary.
Arka Foundation director Mgr Manwel Curmi marked the 50th anniversary of his ordination with Mass at the Don Bosco Oratory.
Mgr Curmi was director of the oratory between 1972 and 1981. Oratory director Fr Effie Masini delivered the homily, while the Straight Ahead band animated the liturgy.
After Mass, those present kissed Mgr Curmi’s hands, a custom carried out during the first Mass of a newly-ordained priest.
After the ceremony, Mgr Curmi cut an anniversary cake in the oratory’s foyer.
