The National and Regional Celebrations Committee within the Ministry for Gozo is organising a memorial ceremony for Victory Day, this coming Sunday, the 4th of September 2011, at 11.00am, in Independence Square in Victoria.

This ceremony will be presided over by the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono.

The programme will be as follows:

11.00am Re-enactment by the Historical Re-enactment Organisation.

11.30am Entrance of the Armed Forces of Malta

11.35am Arrival of Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono.

Last Post played by the Armed Forces of Malta, followed by a minutes silence.

Reveille played the Armed Forces of Malta.

The Minister will then place a wreath on behalf of the Gozitan people at the war victims memorial.

National Anthem will be played.

Members of the Armed Forces of Malta will march to Savina Square,
