Young people have the flair, the passion and the big ideas ready to be put into action especially when these ideas are business related. All young people interested in pursuing a career in setting up their own business or those who are interested in how to nurture a passion for business will be interested to know that as part of next month’s forthcoming Job Fair, Impetus Europe Consulting Group will be hosting an event entitled Youth @ Work 2011 a one day workshop being organised with the aim of providing a concentration of career related activities and to further help youth integrate into the world of work.

Youth @ Work 2011 is run by the European Commission and operates in close cooperation with the EURES Network and the national Public Employment Services (PES). The one day workshop is being organised as part of The YEP Youth Days, co-financed by ESF, consist of a series of events organised with the aim of providing a concentration of career related activities that help youth integrate into the world of work.

The one day workshop, themed “Entrepreneurship” will be hosted on Saturday 29th of October at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta and will consist of a number of presentations, workshops and discussions led by a very interesting panel of speakers. This workshop is therefore a unique opportunity for young people planning to pursue a business-related career to learn, discuss and interact with some of Malta’s prominent business leaders of the moment, people who are constantly in touch with the challenges and the requirements of today’s business scenario.

“These interactive workshops support young people who are looking for work, to consider the work and the achievements of 23 million small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) already present in Europe and to regard these SME’s as their potential employers. We also want to use this event as an opportunity to encourage budding young entrepreneurs to take the plunge and start their own business,” explains Morgan Parnis from Impetus Europe Consulting Group, the organisers of the workshop on behalf of Mostra S.A.

Youth @ Work is a highly interactive programme that is meant to help Europe’s young people find high quality and sustainable jobs and that promotes youth entrepreneurship. This is done through building links between young people and SMEs, and providing information and advice to young people willing to get self-employed or to become entrepreneurs,” adds Mr Parnis.

The panel of speakers will include highly reputable individuals from the worls of accountancy, IT, Research and Training as well as marketing and public relations.
