Gozo College Nadur Primary School recently celebrated the children’s success and diversity during the annual Celebration Day held at the Dr Joe Debono assembly hall.

Prior to the celebration activities, a new artistic project done by an EkoSkola Committee volunteer and local artist, Mr Charlie Camilleri and the Year 5 children was inaugurated by the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono.In his speech, the head of school, Mr. Michael Refalo, highlighted the fact that the Cross surrounded by 12 children is symbolising the unity centered around the Cross. This project was blessed by the Nadur archpriest in the presence of another ex-student of Nadur School, the Minister for Justice, Dialogue and the Family, Dr Chris Said, as well as the School Council members.

The design of the project was done by Mr Joe Camilleri and the solid oak part of the Cross was crafted by Mr. Portelli.

This project was partly financed by EcoGozo within the Ministry for Gozo.
