Jimmy Mifsud, aged 32, from Xaghra yesterday pleaded guilty to a number of charges in the Gozo Court, including assulting his father, during an incident which took place at a residence in Victoria on Saturday.

He pleaded guilty to assulting his father, damaging commercial property, disobeying the orders of a police officer, slightly injuring him and damaging his uniform, breaching the public peace and hurling stones at people.

Jimmy Mifsud was placed on probation for 18 months by Magistrate Paul Coppini, who also issued a 6 month protection order for his father.
