Memorial Service for departed members of the Gozo Police Force.
The Police Force remembered its departed members with Mass celebrated by Gozo Police Chaplain Mgr Emanuel Curmi at the Santa Marija Cemetery chapel in Victoria.
Flowers were placed on the graves by various members of the police, relatives and Wigi Dimech, Gozo representative of the Maltese Association of Retired Police Officers.
Sue-Ellen Bugeja, wife of former PC1425 Jesmond Bugeja, who passed away at a young age last year, read a poem and placed flowers on the graves.
The celebration ended with the Last Post and a minute’s silence was observed.
Attending the ceremony were Police Commissioner John Rizzo, Assistant Commissioner Raymond Zammit, Gozo Superintendent Simon Galea, Inspectors Bernard Spiteri and Frank Tabone, Police cadets, representatives of police organisations and relatives.
