In statement this afternoon the Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, Roderick Galdes, said that he “condemns without reservation the barbaric killing last night of the Flamingo at the Salini saltpans.”

The Parliamentary Secretary added that it “is an irresponsible and criminal act and the police will continue to conduct investigations with regard to those who are guilty will be given the punishment it deserves. Nobody has the right to break the law, the Government is committed to combat such illegalities.”
