Consultation process launched on use of animals in circusesA public consultation process on the on the use of animals in circuses has been launched by the The Secretariat for Agriculture and Animal Rights this afternoon.

The process will open next Monday, the 8th of July and will close on Friday, the 19th of July. The Secretariat said that is the opportunity for everyone to be able to express freely their opinion on the use of circus animals during performances in Malta.

Stakeholders, organisations and members of the general public are invited to play a role in this consultation by completing a consultation form which can be downloaded from the website of the Ministry for Sustainable Development, Environment and Climate Change, www.msdec.gov.mt.

Completed forms can be emailed to consultation.animalwelfare@gov.mt or sent by mail to Circus Animals Consultation, the Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, Casa Leone 476, St.Joseph High Road, St. Venera MALTA SVR 1012.

Consultation forms can also be collected from the office of Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, Casa Leoni, St Venera.

The completed forms must be received at the office by no later than noon on the 19th of July.
